THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Keltron, a public sector company under the state government, has achieved its highest turnover ever. The total turnover for the last financial year was Rs 1056.94 crores. Minister P. Rajeev congratulated Keltron on its success through social media.
Keltron's master plan was for a turnover of ₹1000 crores by 2026 and ₹2000 crores by 2030. In a recent interview given to Kerala Kaumudi, Keltron's chairman N. Narayanamoorthy said that the Industries Minister P. Rajeev asked him whether this target could be reached before the stipulated time. The chairman said that he had promised the minister to fulfill this.
Keltron's average turnover used to be ₹400 crores. In 2020-21, it rose to ₹520 crores, and last year it reached ₹645 crores.
Keltron began its operations when multinational corporations had a limited presence in India. It achieved success by prioritizing project execution and focusing on strategic areas.
