ALAPPUZHA: The excise has intensified the investigation in the case where a woman in Alappuzha was arrested with hybrid ganja of more than Rs 2 crore. The arrested is Taslima Sultana of Kannur. While talking to the media, deputy excise commissioner S Vinod Kumar said the accused revealed the names of two actors. An investigation has been launched into the actors’ relationship with the woman. The excise department said that, if necessary, the actors will be summoned after serving a notice.
It is reported that the woman had been distributing the hybrid ganja imported from abroad in Kochi. She was arrested when she reached Alappuzha with the ganja to hand over to the distributors. Her children were also with her when she was arrested by Alappuzha Narcotics circle inspector Mahesh and his team. Taslima, also known as Christina, brought the ganja from Thailand. Hybrid ganja is more intoxicating than MDMA. Taslima is an accused in the incident where a girl was drugged and sexually abused. It is also reported that she has links with the sex racket.
Investigating officers said that Taslima and her gang were involved in high-tech drug trafficking. The accused were conducting transactions through WhatsApp and Instagram accounts. The mobile phone details of the accused will be collected soon. Her WhatsApp chats have been deleted presently. The excise has informed that the mobile phone will be sent for scientific examination to recover them. The accused used to deliver drugs to the needy by renting a car.
