PERAMBRA: A 20-year-old student, Muhammed Shadil, lost his life following a collision between his bike and a private bus near St Francis Church in Perambra. Shadil, the son of Chekyalath Razak, was riding home after taking an exam when the accident occurred around 2 pm yesterday. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he could not be saved.

Shadil was a second-year degree student at Dignity College, Perambra. The bus involved in the accident was travelling from Kozhikode to Nadapuram via Kuttiadi. According to witnesses, the bus hit Shadil’s bike and dragged it for approximately 10 metres, raising concerns about its speed.

The incident caused tension in the area, as students and locals gathered at the scene in protest. The bus was eventually halted at the bus stand. Shadil is survived by his mother, Sameera, and sister, Sherin Shahana.
