KOCHI: Union Minister Suresh Gopi lost his cool and spoke harshly at the media in Kochi when asked about the incident of priests and others attacked in Jabalpur. He asked them to speak carefully and take the question to John Brittas' house. He asked a journo from which channel he was and after hearing the name of it, he refused to reply.
Suresh Gopi, who said that Waqf atrocities have ended in India, said that it will be beneficial in Munambam. He told media that the Congress is upset on the Christian community rallying for the bill.
Suresh Gopi and John Brittas locked horns during the discussion on the Waqf Bill in the Rajya Sabha yesterday. Suresh Gopi was irked by Brittas' for raising the Empuraan issue and saying that the voters in Thrissur had made a mistake. Suresh Gopi's advice was to rescreen the movies ‘TP 51 Vettu, Left Right Left’ and mourn on Empuraan.
'BJP is spewing poison. Everyone, regardless of caste and religion, provides food and facilities to those who come to offer Attukal Pongala. That is the culture of Kerala. Some people are shedding crocodile tears in the name of Christians. Munna of Empuraan can be seen on BJP benches. Kerala will recognize Munna. As we closed BJP’s account in Nemom, another account will also be closed. Not a single person in Munambam will lose their house. This is the assurance from the LDF Government,' Brittas said.
Suresh Gopi alleged that more than 600 families in Munambam have been cheated. While replying he said the CPM has killed more than 800 people.
