ALAPPUZHA: An office bearer of a temple was beaten for not serving pickle during Annadhanam. The incident happened during Annadanam at Injiparambu temple. The police have registered a case against Arun of Alappuzha in connection with the incident.

Attacked for pappadam
There was a gang fight for not serving pappadam during a marriage feast in Alappuzha in August 2022. Three including the owner of the auditorium were injured. Some of the groom's friends asked for pappadam again during sadya. However, the waiters refused to serve again. The ensuing argument culminated in a gang fight. They attacked each other using the table and chairs arranged in the auditorium.
