THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: More details have emerged in the death of an IB officer in the capital city. The police are dubious of the role of another woman in the incident. The police confirmed that the IB officer went through an abortion at the city hospital. A detailed investigation revealed that another young woman had visited the officer at the hospital. According to the family, no friend of the officer visited her at the hospital that day, making the identity of the woman strange.

The IB officer underwent an abortion at a private hospital in the city in July 2024. Sukanth and the woman, who first arrived at the hospital together, introduced themselves as a couple. The police also found evidence that he had forged some documents to get the woman to undergo an abortion. Sukanth had also forged documents proving that the two were married. The police found a wedding invitation in the woman's bag.

However, Sukanth soon stopped visiting the hospital and made another woman visit in his absence. It is learned that the woman had good connections within the hospital, which might have helped in a speedy abortion. However, the identity of the woman remains hazy.

Police found out that the officer decided to end life after Sukanth withdrew from the relationship after promising marriage. The police have not been able to trace Sukanth’s whereabouts after the incident.
