KOCHI: Minister M.B. Rajesh has said that the reward for those who report a complaint on WhatsApp number 9446700800 with a picture or video of garbage being thrown in a public place will be increased. The reward is currently Rs 2,500.
"If the amount is increased, the public will participate enthusiastically. 5,762 complaints were received till March 31. Out of these, 2,980 have been resolved. A fine of Rs 23.31 lakh was imposed. Those who provided information were given a reward of Rs 29,750."
The Local Self-Government Department will organize the 'Vruthi 2025' national conclave at Kanakakunnu, Thiruvananthapuram from the 9th to the 13th to discuss Kerala's progress on the issue of cleanliness and plan future plans. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate it at 5 pm on the 9th. The concluding session will be inaugurated by Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar at 5 pm on the 12th. Minister M.B. Rajesh will preside over both the sessions.
