THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Supplyco announced a price reduction on five subsidised items starting today in Thiruvananthapuram. The prices of toor dal, chilli, and chickpeas will be lowered between Rs 4 and 10 per kilogram.
White chana will now cost Rs 65 per kilogram, urad dal Rs 90 per kilogram, red cowpeas Rs 75 per kilogram, toor dal Rs 105 per kilogram, and chilli Rs 57.75 per 500 grams. At Supplyco outlets, the new prices for these items inclusive of GST are Rs 69 (white chana), Rs 95 (urad dal), Rs 79 (red cowpeas), Rs 115 (toor dal), and Rs 68.25 (chilli), respectively. Supplyco stated that essential items are being sold at half the price compared to the general market.
