CHENNAI: Goods worth Rs 9 crore have been reported missing from a container at the Adani Group's port in Kattupalli, Tamil Nadu. Silver bars weighing 922 kilograms, brought from London, were stolen. The goods arrived in two containers, one containing 20 tonnes and the other 19 tonnes. Upon routine inspection at the company's warehouse, it was discovered that the container was underweight.

Investigations revealed that the container was opened twice after being imported from London, before being loaded onto a lorry. The goods were imported by a company based in Sriperumbudur. GPS data showed the container was opened for two minutes once and for 16 minutes the second time. The company manager personally inspected the situation, but the location or the details about the people who are involved in looting the goods remain unsolved. Police are reviewing CCTV footage from the area as part of their investigation.
