KALPETTA: Two individuals have been arrested for attacking police officers in Nambikolly, Wayanad. A father and son were involved in the assault. They reportedly used a hammer to damage a police vehicle. One police officer sustained an injury to his finger when the accused attacked the policemen using a machete.

The officers from the Noolpuzha Police Station were attacked by Sunny and Jomon. According to reports, the police arrived at the location following complaints that two individuals were obstructing traffic. It is believed that the attackers were under the influence of drugs at the time. The accused damaged a total of five vehicles, including a police jeep.
