KANNUR: A school bus carrying students from Markaz School overturned in Koyyam, Kannur, causing injuries to several passengers. Around 20 people, including children, were hurt in the accident. The injured were immediately taken to hospitals in Mayyil and Kannur for treatment. Fortunately, none of them are reported to be in serious condition. The bus lost control at a bend and overturned, but a major disaster was avoided as it came to a stop against a tree. There were 28 students and four adults on board. The students, who lived in the school hostel, were on their way to attend the wedding reception of a teacher's son when the accident happened.
