THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: IMD has warned that temperatures will rise in various districts of Kerala. The warning says that the temperature will rise up to 37 degrees Celsius in Kottayam, Palakkad and Thrissur districts on April 15 (Tuesday). The warning says that the temperature is likely to rise up to 36 degrees Celsius in districts like Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod.
IMD has informed that due to high temperature and humid air, there is a possibility of hot and humid weather in these districts, except in the hilly areas. Meanwhile, the weather forecast also says that there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunderstorms in isolated places in various districts on April 15. Meteorological Department has warned that there is a possibility of strong winds with a speed of 30 to 40 kmph along with this.
IMD has informed that there is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning from 16/04/2025 to 18/04/2025. More rain is likely in the hilly areas of the southern districts. Strong winds and thunder are possible. As part of the Swell Surge phenomenon, high waves of 0.9 to 1.0 meters are possible on the coasts from Kappil to Poovar in Thiruvananthapuram district and 1.3 to 1.4 meters on the Kanyakumari coast. The warning also states that coastal residents and fishermen should be vigilant as there is a possibility of sea erosion.
