LUCKNOW: It was just a day back that Union Home Minister Amit Shah instructed the Chief Ministers of all states to identify and deport Pakistani nationals. Following this, Seema Haider, a native of Pakistan, has come forward pleading to the prime minister of India.

“India's daughter-in-law should be allowed to remain here. I don’t want to go to Pakistan. I am requesting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to allow me to remain here,” said Seema, who also claimed to have converted to Hinduism after marrying Indian Sachin Meena.

Seema Haider made headlines after marrying Sachin Meena, whom she met through the popular online game PUBG. Seema, a mother of four, left her husband and entered India illegally via Nepal.

Meanwhile, Seema’s lawyer kept hoping that she would be allowed to stay in India.

"Seema is no longer a Pakistani citizen. She is the wife of Sachin Meena, a resident of Greater Noida. The couple recently had a daughter. Her citizenship is now linked to their Indian husband, so it is hoped that the Centre's directive will not apply to them," said advocate AP Singh.
