Jimshi Khalid, brother of arrested filmmaker Khalid Rahman, shared a post supporting the latter on social media that has now divided people into two camps.

“Thank you for your fuel in the fire, now it is gonna burn like never before”, wrote Jimshi on Instagram. The post was accompanied by a song from rapper Vedan, who was arrested on Monday for drug use.

Actors including Lukman, Naslen and Sreenath Bhasi came with support, triggering a debate on social media.

When one comment asked Jimshi to advise his brother not to ruin his talent with drugs, the reply was blithe.

“I would not advise this to someone who possesses the courage the trek to the Everest base camp”

Just two days back, Khalid Rahman and Ashraf Hamza were taken to custody after the excise conducted a lighting inspection into their apartment and seized one gram of hybrid ganja. In the wake of the incident, both filmmakers were suspended from FEFKA.
