THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Heavy rains are expected in six districts of Kerala in the next three hours. Red alert has been issued in Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Kannur and Kasaragod districts. Orange alert has been issued in Pathanamthitta, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts for the next three hours. Meanwhile, a yellow alert has been issued in Kollam, Alappuzha and Thrissur districts. The Central Meteorological Department has informed that there is a possibility of moderate rain with thunderstorms and strong winds with a speed of up to 40 kmph in isolated places here.
