NEET-UG, the National Testing Agency's all-India medical UG entrance exam, written by 22.7 lakh students, was deemed fairly doable by students in general. Students felt that the questions were straightforward and followed the NCERT syllabus. The questions in Biology were generally very easy.

The questions were mostly from genetics and molecular biology. It took more time to read and understand the physics and chemistry questions. There were fewer direct answer questions. Formula-based questions were fewer in Physics and Chemistry. In general, the exam was easier compared to last year. Therefore, the cut-off mark is likely to reach 140 this year. The total marks in NEET are 720. The number of students scoring more than 700 is likely to increase in 2025 as well.

The exam answer key will be published soon. If an error is found in any question, students are directed to inform the NTA.

There is a possibility that 5% more marks will be required for admission to AIIMS and AFMC in 2025 compared to the final rank in previous years. As per the new trends, it won't be surprising if students waiting for admission in government medical colleges in Kerala, based on their rank, end up in self-financing colleges.

Parents will have to do clear planning and a financial review. In addition to MBBS, admission to BDS, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Siddha, Unani, Agriculture, Forestry, Veterinary, Fisheries, and allied agricultural courses relies on NEET rank. Therefore, in addition to MBBS admission, admission to BDS, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Veterinary Science, Agriculture, and Fisheries courses will also require a higher rank than the previous year.
