THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Vigilance Court on Tuesday rebuked investigating officer Shiju Pappachan over the delay in submitting the vigilance report in the disproportionate assets case against ADGP M.R. Ajith Kumar. The court expressed its displeasure over the explanation that the report had been submitted to the government as no evidence was found against Ajith. Special Vigilance Court Judge M.V. Rajakumar directed that the current status report of the investigation be submitted by May 12th.

The court had earlier directed that the report be submitted within three months. At that time, the Vigilance department requested an additional 45 days. When the case was considered yesterday, marking the end of the extended period, the investigating officer stated that the report was submitted to the government. The petition under consideration was filed by advocate Neyyattinkara Nagaraj. The Vigilance investigation against Ajith Kumar pertains to allegations related to the construction of a luxury residence in Kowdiar and the sale of a flat in Kuravankonam.
