KOZHIKODE: In a tragic incident, a young man drowned after falling into the Pathangayam waterfalls. The deceased has been identified as Ramees (21), a native of Kadalundi, Malappuram. The incident occurred around 3 PM today. Ramees had come to the waterfall with his friends to bathe. A group of ten people had travelled from Kadalundi to Kozhikode on five bikes.

The accident occurred while they were bathing at the waterfall. Although his friends tried to rescue him, they were unsuccessful. The body has been shifted to the hospital. It will be handed over to the family after the post-mortem.
