Santhosh Varkey, popularly known as "Arattannan", was recently granted bail in a case in which he made derogatory remarks against actresses. Now, actress Maya Viswanath has shared her experience with him.

Maya spoke about the incident through her YouTube channel.

"I received a call at night. The Truecaller ID showed the name Santhosh Varkey. I usually answer all calls as I'm confident that I can handle anything. When I asked who it was, he said it was 'Arattannan'. I didn't understand at first, so I asked if he was someone who acted in Mohanlal's movie Aaraattu. He said no. He said that everyone calls him 'Arattannan'. When I asked for his real name, the one given by his parents, he replied that it was Santhosh Varkey

When I asked why he was calling me, he said it was just to get to know me. Then he asked if I was standing in front of the Vanitha Theatre. I replied that standing in front of a theatre is not my job. He then said that I looked like a goddess. I asked him if he had ever met a goddess before.

After that, I contacted some people who are active on social media to inquire about him. They warned me, saying, ‘Don’t answer his calls, he’s a headache.’ That’s when I found out he’s the same person who goes around saying he wants to marry Nithya Menen, Manju Warrier, and Aishwarya Lekshmi,” Maya said.
