BUENOS AIRES: Lionell Messi and the Argentina football team are unlikely to visit Kerala. This was informed by the Argentinian media. As per reports, the Argentina football team will not visit Kerala any time soon.

Sports journalist Gaston Edul informed that Argentina has confirmed their matches in Angola and Qatar. It was earlier reported that Argentina football team would reach Kerala in October but now their match is with China in October. Sports Minister V Abdurahman informed that the Argentina team and Messi would be coming to Kerala in October.

Argentina will face Angola in Africa, while in Qatar, their match is with the USA. Meantime, Argentina will play two matches with China. Argentina had previously visited India in 2011. Their opponent was Venezuela then. Argentina won the match 1-0. Argentina's victory in the last World Cup was a big celebration in Kerala. Following this, the state government invited Argentina to Kerala. However, reports say that they may not make it this year.
