THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The sample test results of two people who were in primary contact with the Nipah patient have also turned negative. With this, the test results of 75 people have turned negative. The test results of five more people are awaited. At the same time, a 65-year-old woman who was undergoing treatment at MIMS Hospital was admitted to the ICU of Manjeri Medical College with symptoms of fever and sore throat. Two of the test results came back negative today, includes her as well. A 27-year-old woman from Kuttippuram was also admitted to the isolation ward of Manjeri Medical College today.
So far, 166 people are on the contact list. They are being monitored. Of these, 65 are in the high-risk category and 101 are in the low-risk category. Meanwhile, the confirmed Nipah patient remains in the ICU of Perinthalmanna EMS Hospital. Three people are currently undergoing treatment at Manjeri Government Medical College, and one at Ernakulam Medical College.
