LUCKNOW: In a disturbing case reported from Kanpur, a woman and her nephew have been taken into custody for allegedly murdering her husband after he discovered their illicit relationship. The murder weapon was a wooden plank taken from a door. The victim, Dharmendra Pasi, a resident of Kanpur, was allegedly killed by his wife Reena and her nephew, Satish.

According to police reports, Reena and Satish were engaged in an illicit relationship. When Dharmendra became aware of the affair, the duo allegedly plotted and carried out his murder.

Initially, Reena attempted to mislead investigators by claiming that a family dispute had led to the killing and pointed fingers at three individuals. However, inconsistencies in her version of events prompted further investigation. Although Dharmendra had previously been involved in an altercation with a few individuals two weeks before the incident, police ruled them out after questioning.

As the probe deepened, authorities uncovered compelling evidence of the affair between Reena and Satish. Phone records revealed that the two were in constant communication, speaking for hours daily, and had exchanged explicit images.

Under sustained interrogation, Reena confessed to the affair and admitted that she and Satish were responsible for Dharmendra’s death. She stated that the murder was a result of ongoing conflicts between her and her husband after he discovered the relationship. As per her confession, Dharmendra was first drugged with sleeping pills before being killed. Both accused have been taken into custody, and police are continuing their investigation into the case.
