PALAKKAD: A man sent a voice message in their family group in WhatsApp saying that he has murdered his wife. The dead is Usha Nandini (57) of Thrithala Othalur in Palakkad. The police have taken her husband Muraleedharan (62) into custody. He murdered his wife Wednesday morning at 9.

Muraleedharan told police that he suffocated his wife to death. Usha has been bedridden for quite some time. Shornur DySP Manoj Kumar, Thrithala sub inspector and others have reached the spot.

His voice message in the family group said, ‘I killed Usha, ready to face any punishment’. The inquest proceedings are progressing.
