NEW DELHI: Japan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have expressed their support for India’s efforts in combating terrorism. Both countries conveyed their backing during discussions with an all-party Indian delegation that visited Japan and the UAE with the objective of exposing Pakistan's role in fostering terrorism.

Sanjay Jha stated that Japan has expressed support for India's anti-terrorism activities. The delegation, after paying floral tributes at the Gandhi Memorial in Tokyo, held meetings with Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya and former Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga. Japanese diplomatic expert Satoru Nagao remarked that Operation Sindoor was a responsible and appropriate action. He described the Pahalgam attack as a heinous act and criticised Pakistan's continued support for terrorism as self-destructive.

India's Ambassador to Japan, Sibi George, received the delegation at the Tokyo airport. The team includes Brij Lal, Pradan Baruah, Aparajita Sarangi, Hemang Joshi (BJP), John Brittas (CPI-M), Abhishek Banerjee (Trinamool Congress), and Ambassador Mohan Kumar.

Another Indian delegation led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde visited the UAE. There, they met with UAE Minister Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi (Chairman of the Defence, Interior, and Internal Affairs Committee), and Dr. Jamal Al Kaabi (Director General, National Media Office). The UAE reaffirmed its commitment to countering terrorism in all its forms.

This delegation included Bansuri Swaraj, Atul Garg, Manan Kumar Mishra, S.S. Ahluwalia (BJP), E.T. Mohammed Basheer (Indian Union Muslim League), and Sasmit Patra (BJD), along with Ambassador Sujan Chinoy. Meanwhile, a delegation led by DMK leader Kanimozhi has departed for Russia. The all-party delegations will be visiting five countries in total, including Spain.
