LONDON: 27 people were left injured after a car rammed into the victory parade of Liverpool football club in Merseyside. Two people are said to be in critical condition.
The incident took place at around 6 pm yesterday. The police arrested a 53-year-old man, a resident of Merseyside, in connection with the incident. It is reported that this man was driving the car at the time of the incident.

Ambulance officials said four of the injured were children. The BBC reported that the attacker drove his car into the crowd almost 10 minutes after the Liverpool team bus passed through this area. Prime Minister Keir Starmer said paramedics and police in Liverpool had witnessed "very frightening scenes".
Authorities also fear this to be a terrorist attack. A probe is underway.
