AMRITSAR: Punjab Police constable Amandeep Kaur, who had previously been arrested for possession of narcotics, has been arrested again—this time by the Vigilance Bureau of the Punjab Police in connection with a corruption case. Known on social media as the "Insta Queen," Kaur is now facing charges of amassing illegal wealth.

Authorities have registered a case against her for disproportionate assets, and investigations revealed that she owns properties and items worth crores of rupees, including land, a Rolex watch, iPhones, a Mahindra Thar SUV, and a Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle.

In April, she was arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Task Force after 17.71 grams of heroin were recovered. Kaur was released on bail on May 2. Since then, the Punjab Police have frozen assets worth Rs 1.35 crore under her name.

The properties and other assets were reportedly acquired between 2018 and 2025. The Vigilance Bureau is investigating how she managed to accumulate such wealth. Her bank accounts and financial transactions are under detailed scrutiny, as her known income does not justify her amassed wealth.

Kaur's Instagram account contains numerous videos, many of which show her in police form mocking the department. She frequently displayed luxury watches, handbags and jewellery in her posts.
