THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KSRTC Swift driver J Jayesh has been suspended for using his phone while driving. He is a driver in the central unit. The action comes after a video of Jayesh using his phone while driving went viral on social media.

The RPK 125 Swift Superfast bus left Thiruvananthapuram Central Depot for Sultanbathery on the 24th. On the morning of the 25th, while the bus was entering Thamarassery Pass, Jayesh was talking on his phone and driving the bus in a dangerous manner. A video of this captured on a mobile phone by a passenger went viral on social media.

The KSRTC Vigilance Department, which took notice of the matter, investigated and found that the driver had committed serious negligence and irresponsible acts. The report was submitted to the CMD. Jayesh was suspended after this.
