KOLLAM: A fire broke out while cutting the container that washed ashore after MSC Elsa 3 ship that listed off on the Kochi coast. The fire broke out in the thermocol shield of the container. As the smoke spread widely, the fire force reached the spot and brought the fire under control. The incident happened near the Sakthikulangara church. The container from the ship that sank in Kochi caught fire.

Nine containers washed ashore on the Sakthikulangara coast. Since it was difficult to transport the containers through the small road that only cars can pass, they are being cut and tried to shift it to the Kollam port. Immediately after the fire broke out, thick black smoke spread in the area. Since it is a residential area, everyone was a bit concerned. Although the fire was extinguished, the smoke is still not under control.

41 containers washed ashore on various beaches in Kollam. These are being transported to Kollam Port by road and sea. This is being supervised by an expert team. Authorities have said that there is no need to worry at present.
