NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has declared that if terrorism dares to resurface, it will be rooted out from its hideouts. Speaking at a public event in Bihar where he inaugurated development projects worth over Rs 48,520 crore, the Prime Minister reiterated that the fight against terrorism is far from over.
Referring to the recent brutal terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Modi reminded the audience of his earlier promise to retaliate during a public program in Bihar. "While speaking during a program in Bihar, I had promised that justice would be delivered to the victims, and the masterminds of terror would face unimaginable punishment. Now, I've returned to Bihar after fulfilling that promise," Modi said.
"The Indian armed forces have eliminated the hideouts of those who, while hiding safely in Pakistan, were behind the cruel acts that shattered the lives of our sisters by wiping away their sindoor. Terrorists who thought they were secure under the protection of the Pakistani army were brought to their knees. This is the new India—one with immense strength and determination. Nothing has ended yet. If anyone raises their head against India, they will be wiped out,” he warned.
BrahMos Missile gave sleepless nights to Pakistan
Speaking in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Modi said that the BrahMos missile strikes gave sleepless nights to Pakistan. “The Pakistani military pleaded to end the war. BrahMos missiles penetrated terrorist bases, travelling hundreds of miles to destroy them. Our armed forces showed unparalleled courage,” he added. “The Operation Sindoor is not over,” Modi stated firmly.
India’s national security doctrine: Three key principles
Severe retaliation for terror attacks against India. Terror bases will be destroyed.
No fear of nuclear threats. India will strike back even if actions are taken under the cover of nuclear intimidation.
No distinction between terrorists and the governments that support them.
Will eradicate Maoism
Modi also vowed to completely eliminate Maoist insurgency from the country. Before 2014, over 125 districts were affected by Maoist activity. Today, the number has reduced to just 18. He mentioned that districts like Sasaram and Kaimur in Bihar, once under severe Maoist threat, are now moving toward peace. “The day is not far when the Maoist threat will be completely eradicated. These regions will soon see uninterrupted peace, security, education, and development,” he assured.
The event was attended by Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Union Ministers Jitan Ram Manjhi, Giriraj Singh, Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Chirag Paswan, Nityanand Rai, Satish Chandra Dubey, and Dr. Raj Bhushan Choudhary.
