NAIROBI: All efforts are being taken to bring the bodies of the Malayalees killed in the road accident in Kenya. The activists of Malayali organizations are all trying for it.
The travel documents lost in the accident need to be found. The accident happened on Monday at 4 pm local time in Ol Jororok-Nakuru Road in Nyandarua County in northeastern Kenya.


The bus carrying an Indian group who had gone on a family vacation to Kenya from Qatar lost control and fell 100 meters below the ground. Six including five Malayalees died in the accident. 26 people were injured.


The victims are Jesna (29), daughter of Makkar and her daughter Roohi Mehrin (one-and-a half-years old) of Muvattupuzha Pezhakkappilly Kuttikkattuchal, Riya Ann (41), daughter of Radhakrishnan of Palakkad Mannur Kanjirampara and her daughter Tyra (8), Geetha Shoji Isaac (58) of Vallakadavu in Thiruvananthapuram, and residing in Palarivattom, Kochi. Jesna's husband, Muhammed Haneefa of Venkitanga in Thrissur, Riya's husband Joel and his son Travis were among those injured. The tour was organized by Joel, an airport maintenance company employee in Qatar, through his travel company.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan expressed his condolences on the demise of Malayali women.
