THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan remains on ventilator support. He is being treated jointly by the cardiology, neurology and nephrology departments. The medical bulletin released on Tuesday at noon had mentioned a slight improvement in the veteran leader’s health. Since then, V S Achuthanandan’s health has deteriorated with no improvement.
Medical sources said that possible treatments are being provided, considering the limitations of age. Yesterday, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan visited the Pattom SUT, where VS is undergoing treatment. Pinarayi spoke to Achuthanandan's son Arunkumar and others, but did not enter the ICU. Ministers, MLAs, leaders of various political parties, and cultural activists visited the hospital yesterday and met the relatives.
