KOZHIKODE: Noushad, the main accused said that he had not killed Hemachandran of Sultan Bathery in Wayanad. He is presently in Saudi Arabia. Noushad posted a video on social media claiming that he is innocent.

He said that he reached Saudi Arabia on a two-month visiting visa. He will appear before the police as soon as he is back home. Noushad also demanded a re-postmortem of Hemachandran's body in the Facebook video. Noushad clarified that Hemachandran owes money to thirty people, including him.

‘Had to get money from many places and so went together for this. After preparing the agreement, sent Hemachandran home. All the location things are in the hands of the police. Hemachandran returned later. He said that he has to get money from Mysore. Agreed him to stay home for one more day. He was found hanging the next morning.
Hemachandran came to commit suicide. Seeing the body, didn’t know what to do and so called my friends. So, the three of us buried the body together. We did not beat him to death. Ready to go to jail for what I have done. However, not ready to go to jail for what I haven’t done,’ said Noushad in the video.

The police finding is that Noushad of Wayanad and his friends called Hemachandran to the medical college premises, then kidnapped him in a car. They later murdered him at the house in Wayanad and buried the body in the Cherambadi forest.

Noushad's friends Jyothish Kumar and Ajesh have been arrested. The accused have stated that only three were in the car when Hemachandran was kidnapped. However, the police are investigating whether there were more people.

The accused said that it was a white car and they don’t know where it is now. Meantime, after the custody period of the accused ended, both were produced in the court and remanded. Medical College ACP A Umesh said they will be taken into custody again.
