The incident of a television channel reporter’s mic hitting actor Mohanlal’s eye had grabbed headlines. The incident happened when the actor was exiting the Tagore theatre on Monday after receiving the award for being the top individual GST payer.
When Mohanlal was coming out through the VIP gate, the journalists asked him about his daughter Vismaya's film debut. The actor walked towards his car after saying ‘no comments.’ Suddenly, a reporter’s mic hit his eye in the presence of a huge crowd.
‘Don't you know it's eyes,’ the actor opened the door of his car and then looked at the reporter and said, ‘I am keeping an eye on you.’ After saying this, he left in his car. The reporter was criticized harshly after the incident. The actor’s friend Sanil Kumar said Mohanlal had called the journalist and consoled him. Sanil Kumar was also with Mohanlal when the incident happened.
It is true that the actor hurt his eye when the mic hit him. While talking to a media, Sanil Kumar said Mohanlal’s eyes were watering when going to the studio in Pappanamcode and even after reaching there.
'Water was coming from his eyes even during the shoot. He felt discomfort in his eye in the morning too. However, the actor noticed criticisms being showered on the reporter on social media. He immediately got the reporter’s number and called him. The actor told him that he was fine. Before hanging the phone, Mohanlal jokingly repeated the same dialogue ‘I am keeping an eye,’ said Sanil Kumar.
