THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister Veena George informed that there are a total of 425 people on the Nipah contact list in Kerala. 228 are in Malappuram, 110 in Palakkad and 87 in Kozhikode. 12 people are under treatment in Malappuram. Five people are in ICU treatment. One person on the contact list has tested negative. One person in Palakkad is under treatment in isolation and 61 health workers are on the contact list. 87 people on the contact list in the Kozhikode district are health workers.

Fever surveillance has been ordered in the area. Psychological support should be ensured. Those on the Palakkad contact list should be isolated there. Only samples should be sent for testing. The route map of individuals in Palakkad and Malappuram who have confirmed Nipah has been published. Ambulances including Kaniv 108 are ready. It has also been ordered to intensify efforts to find the source.
