LUCKNOW: The investigation conducted after a newborn baby was found in the toilet of a train revealed gruesome act. The baby was found to be of a minor girl. The minor girl told police that she was raped and impregnated by her own father.

This gruesome act happened in Bihar. It is also reported that the family tried to cover up the rape by her father. The baby was born on June 22 when the girl’s family was en route to Delhi for her treatment. The girl gave birth to a baby boy in the toilet when the train reached near Varanasi.

They placed the newborn in a bag and left it in the general coach of the Patna-Chandigarh summer special train. When the train reached near Bareilly, the vendors on the train heard the baby’s cries. They found the baby with the umbilical cord not cut off and then approached the TTE. Later, when the train reached Moradabad, the train authorities provided medical assistance to the baby.

The turning point in the case was the SIM card found in the bag where the baby was left. The owner of the SIM card was a relative of the girl. The police got information from him that the girl was pregnant after being raped. The girl's family was in Chhapra, Bihar. The girl told police that her father was an alcoholic and had been sexually abusing her for years. The baby and her mother were shifted to a Centre under the Ministry of Women and Child Development in Moradabad. The Bihar Police is investigating the rape case.
