KATTAPPANA: Criticism in the work report presented at the CPI Idukki district conference, being held in Kattappana, that there is an attempt to implement Pinarayism in Kerala. The CPM is making an organised effort to make it appear that the government's development achievements are due to the abilities of one person. The work report presented by District Secretary K. Salim Kumar also states that the Finance Minister is being stingy in providing funds to the departments governed by the CPI such as Civil Supplies, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, etc.
The Finance Minister is distributing funds to the departments governed by the CPM. This is an approach of turning a blind eye to the CPI. The work of the second Pinarayi government is not satisfactory compared to the first Pinarayi government. The government has not been able to intervene properly in the issue of Asha workers. This has created dissatisfaction among the people. Nava Kerala Sadas was not beneficial to the people. The Forest Minister is unaware of the current state of the Forest Department. The Forest Department has become more dangerous than animals. Despite huge public protests against the rampant wildlife attacks in the hills, the Forest Department has not taken any action to reduce human-wildlife conflict.
Although the CPI is the second party in the front, the CPM is trying to bring the Kerala Congress to the second position. The Kerala Congress is only in a few pockets. In 2012, MM Mani had spoken in Muttukad that the CPI is a party that needs to be destroyed. It should be understood that the CPM still has the goal of destroying the CPI. The CPM is trying to organize campaigns to resolve the land issues in the district by putting the CPI in the position of the accused.
The activity report also states that the BJP is strengthening its influence in all areas. The district conference, which was reduced to only a representative conference following the death of the party's district assistant secretary P Palanivel, will end today. K Salim Kumar is likely to continue as the district secretary.
