NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that Operation Sindoor was a complete success. He was speaking to the media ahead of the monsoon session of Parliament. Modi also stated that India has achieved significant progress in the economic sector and congratulated Shubhanshu Shukla, who returned from the International Space Station.

“The world witnessed India's military strength through Operation Sindoor. Our forces achieved 100% of their objectives. Terrorist bases were destroyed within minutes. This parliamentary session is a celebration of that success. For the first time, the Indian flag was raised at the International Space Station — a proud moment for the nation. We have worked to control inflation and currency depreciation. The country is rapidly moving toward becoming the world's third-largest economy. We will increase the production of weapons within India and eliminate Naxalism,” Modi said.

The session, which is expected to continue until August 21, is likely to discuss various issues, including the revision of the Bihar voter list. Twelve key bills are also up for consideration.

Meanwhile, opposition leaders have demanded an explanation on whether U.S. President Donald Trump intervened to end Operation Sindoor. They insist that Prime Minister Modi must make a statement on the matter. Protests against the Bihar voter list revision are also expected to be reflected during the session.
