LOS ANGELES: World Wrestling Entertainment legend and WWF icon Terry Gene Bollea, aka Hulk Hogan, passed away on Thursday. He was 71. According to reports, Hogan was rushed to the hospital by medics from his Florida residence following a sudden cardiac arrest.
As per various reports emerging, Hogan was severely ill for the past week and was not responding to medicines. The representative of the former wrestling entertainer said that Hogan went through surgery last week, which was successful.
Hogan was one among the marquee signings made by the company during the early 70s era when professional wrestling was in its infancy. Hogan, along with a bunch of other performers, gave their sweat to help the company reach new heights and become one of the world’s richest entertainment programs on television.
Hogan was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005.
