THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Technopark, India's first IT campus, will complete three and a half decades of operation in the capital today. Technopark has made a significant contribution to the state's IT exports. IT exports worth Rs 13,255 crore were generated in 2023-24. Five campuses are operating in Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam districts, spread over 760 acres and covering 12.72 million square feet.
Development work is underway for new projects covering an area of over four million square feet. Once completed, more than 30,000 new job opportunities will be created.
Today, on the 35th anniversary, employees will come together to remember the growth phases of Technopark and share development programs. Technopark's founding executive council member, K. Madhavan Pillai, will be honoured. A new branded store on the campus will also be inaugurated. There will be a cultural performance by Agasthyam Kalari at the event.
