Music director AR Rahman has expressed his joy of meeting legendary singer KJ Yesudas in the US. Rahman visited Yesudas at the latter's residence in Dallas, USA. Taking to his Instagram page, Rahman posted two pictures of himself spending time with Yesudas, along with a note expressing his joy at meeting his childhood favourite.

'Met my childhood favourite at his place at Dallas. Amazed at his research work and love for Indian classical (Carnatic) music,' Rahman wrote.

Several celebrities, including actress Amala Paul and singer Harshdeep Kaur, have commented below the pictures of the two. For the past few years, Yesudas and his family have been living in the US. He hasn't returned to India since the COVID pandemic.

AR Rahman is currently in North America for 'The Wonderment Tour', his largest tour yet, covering more than 15 cities across the US.
