
NEW DELHI: The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) under the Ministry of Defence has completed the construction of a strategic road in Doklam, where the armies of India and China clashed in 2017. Defence experts said that with this, India has gained the upper hand in the region. The Project DANTAK, prepared on the basis of an agreement between Bhutan and India, has become a reality. It is the Border Roads Organisation that helps in the development of infrastructure like roads, bridges etc. in Bhutan. Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay inaugurated the road. Border Roads Director General Lt. Gen. Raghu Srinivasan was in Bhutan from July 28 till today. He met Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay. Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi recently visited Bhutan and reviewed the project.
