WASHINGTON: Four Indian-origin citizens from New York, earlier reported missing while on their way to a temple in West Virginia, were found dead in a car crash. Asha Divan (85), Kishore Divan (89), Shailesh Divan (86), and Gita Divan (84) were last seen at a Burger King location in Pennsylvania on July 29. All of them were killed in the purported vehicle accident.
The four were travelling from Buffalo in Marshall County, West Virginia, to Prabhupada's Palace of Gold. They were travelling in a Toyota with a New York license plate. CCTV footage from a Burger King showed two of the missing men entering the restaurant. Their last credit card transaction was also found to be from the same location.
The local sheriff located their vehicle near a steep embankment along Big Wheeling Creek Road. It is reported that the vehicle was first spotted almost five hours after the crash. Marshall County Sheriff Mike Dougherty said the four people were travelling to Pittsburgh and then to Moundsville, West Virginia.
