KOCHI: A crucial turning point in the honeytrap case. The police have registered a case against the CEO of Kochi-based IT firm Litmus7 on the complaint filed by the accused woman. The Info Park police have registered a case against industrialist Venu Gopalakrishnan. The case has been filed under charges including insulting femininity and for threatening.

In her complaint, the woman alleged that apart from Gopalakrishnan, three others from the firm had threatened her. The central police had initially registered a case against the woman and her husband on the complaint of Gopalakrishnan for honey trapping him.

However, the woman claimed that she got trapped in the honeytrap after she informed Gopalakrishnan that she would file a complaint with the ICC about the sexual harassment she faced in her workplace. The woman told media that the honeytrap case was a retaliation against her for speaking about the harassment.

The Ernakulam Magistrate Court had granted bail without remand to the woman and her husband in the honeytrap case. The police are investigating the case against Gopalakrishnan and three others from the IT firm Litmus7.
