KOTTAYAM: A Malayali couple from Kottayam was found dead in their home in the U.S. C.G. Prasad (76), son of the late V.T. Chandy from Vechoor, Kumarakom, and his wife Annie Prasad (73), from Pennukkara, were found deceased in their home in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Annie’s sister Sisy, who also lives in the U.S., used to talk to them daily over the phone. But on the 27th, when they didn’t answer repeated calls, she informed their children. The police were then called, and upon checking the house, they found both of them dead. Initial reports suggest that a gas leak caused by a malfunction in the home’s heating system led to their deaths.

They are survived by their daughters Sandhya and Kavya (both in the U.S.) and son-in-law Don Castro.

The funeral will be held on the 9th at St. Peter’s Syrian Orthodox Cathedral in Philadelphia, and the burial will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery.
