THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of possible rainfall in all districts of Kerala due to the influence of a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal. The system has formed near the Andhra-Odisha coast and is likely to intensify and move towards the coast.

Rainfall is expected to increase in many parts of the state from today for the next three days. A yellow alert has been issued for five districts- Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kannur, and Kasargod. For tomorrow, a yellow alert has been announced for six districts.

Meanwhile, the weather department has predicted moderate rain in isolated places in Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, and Wayanad in the next three hours, along with strong winds reaching speeds of up to 40 kmph. Light rain is also likely in isolated areas of other districts.
