NEW DELHI: A 39-year-old youth has been arrested for brutally raping his 65-year-old mother. The shocking incident happened in Delhi's Hauz Qazi area. He brutally raped her for an alleged relationship she had in the past. The woman lodged a complaint stating that her son abused her twice. The police then arrested him. She along with her 25-yer-old daughter went to the police station and filed a complaint. The accused’ father is a retired govt employee. The couple was living with her son and daughter. Their eldest daughter is married and lives with her in-laws.

On July 17, the woman, her husband and daughter had gone to Saudi Arabia for a pilgrimage. The accused called his father and asked him to return home immediately. As soon as he returned home, the youth asked his father to divorce his mother. When asked about the reason, he accused her of having had illicit relationships during his childhood. The family returned to Delhi on August 1.

After reaching home, he locked his mother in a room and raped her. The frightened woman took shelter at her elder daughter’s house. She returned home on August 11. The accused told his family that he wanted to speak with his mother in private. He again locked her in a room, raped her and told her that he was punishing for her past relationships. The woman told the matter to her younger daughter. The two later filed a complaint with the police.
