KOCHI: The Kochi-Delhi Air India-504 flight was delayed for more than two hours due to a technical fault. There is a suspicion that the plane skidded off the runway. However, CIAL officials denied any such happening.

The flight was supposed to depart at 10.34 pm from Kochi airport, but suffered an engine fault that could not be repaired even late at night. CIAL, in an announcement, confirmed arranging another flight for the passengers. It is reported that the plane will fly to Delhi at 1 am.

Ernakulam MP Hibi Eden, who was on the flight, expressed suspicion over the recurring incidents involving Air India flights.
