THRISSUR: A middle-aged man from Pattambi was rescued by police and the fire force after he threatened to jump from the roof of a three-storey building. The incident began around 11:30 a.m. when the man climbed the building and started making suicide threats.

Authorities tried to convince him to come down, but he refused. When fire personnel attempted a rescue, the man became aggressive, hurling roof tiles and glass at the officials, causing minor injuries to some of them. The rescue team eventually reached the rooftop and used a safety net to bring him down safely. The operation concluded around 2 p.m.
