WAYANAD: Another landslide has occurred at Thamarassery Pass, making it difficult to restore traffic. The landslide occurred at the view point at the ninth bend around 7 pm last night. Large rocks, trees and dirt fell in this area. The second landslide occurred while efforts were being made to remove these. Only if these are completely removed can traffic be restored.

A small road was constructed in this area last night to allow the vehicles stuck there to pass. Vehicles like ambulances are being given more priority. The police, fire force and locals are working together to remove the rocks from the area. Continuous rain and heavy fog are creating more difficulties. The work is progressing using two earthmoving machines. The collector and public representatives had come here to monitor the situation.
