THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A video of policemen dressing a college student in a mundu during Onam celebrations has gone viral on social media.

The incident took place at Mar Ivanius College in Thiruvananthapuram. The student, who had come wearing a mundu as part of the Onam celebrations, was having trouble wearing it properly. That's when the policemen from the Mannanthala station, who were on patrol, arrived there. Two policemen stopped the jeep and got out to help the student drape the mundu properly. The student thanked the policemen for dressing him in a mundu and straightening the border, known as the kara. The video was shared on social media by the Police Media Center. After it came out, there was a flood of compliments. Many comments were received such as "Love of a brother, a big salute for this".

Senior Civil Police Officer Anoop was the person who dressed the student in a mundu. SI Suresh Kumar and Home Guard Vijayakumar were in the patrolling team.
